Which Procedure Will Tell Whether Lungs Is Filled With Fluid Again? Earlier PET Scan Done, Fluid Removed Twice
What procedure is used to tell whether a lung has filled with fluid (again!)? Previously it was determined by a PET scan. I've had two liters removed from my left lung twice in the past month, and it has only been nine days since the last thoracentesis. I'm hearing gurgling sounds again, coughing and exhibiting some of the symptoms I had before the two prior thoracenteses.

You don't need to do a PET scan or a CT scan again.
You can get a USG of the chest to be very sure and a plain chest xray also can tell you that there is a fluid in your chest
