Which Is The Right Medicine For Child For High Fever?

My son is 7 years old and weighs 18 kg. Whenever he gets fever because of viral infection the fewer mostly goes upto 3 ...and the normal crocin syrup does not bring it down...which syrup is recommended for high fever. We used to give Meftal-P which the doctor said is not good and too strong.

Tepid sponging along with paracetamol 15 mg/kg body weight every 4-6 houly will effectively bring down the temperature.
Keep in cold atmosphere (air conditioned room)
Give plenty of water.
