Which Is The Better Substitute For Benicar HCT ?
I am presently taking benicar hct (40-25MG) 1x daily; insurance is no longer accepting this drug. Which is a better subsitute for me Hyzaar or Avelide. I am a 62 year old African American female. I have type 2 diabetes and hypertension. I am currently taking metformin HCL 500MG 2x daily and metoprolol tartate 100MG 2x daily and benicar HCT 40-25MG 1x daily. Thank you.

I can understand your problem if I would be your doctor then I would suggest you following medicine in place 0f "Olmestran"
1) Tab Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg twice a day
This could give equal result as the Olmestran gives, hope this answer would help you in taking decision have nice day.
