Hello I'm type 2 diabetic. I tested my blood sugar 2 hours after eating and it was at 144. I had washed my hands in soap and dried them off. 144 is to high for me in my opinion, so 30 minutes later I cleaned the same finger with an alcohol pad and got a 94 reading. Which is correct, you think?
Dear sir i can understand your concern. in my opinion both the sugar levels are correct. the blood sugar is dynamic and it will be fluctuating because there will continuously adding and removal of sugar in blood this total mechanism will be maintained in a very balanced way with help of insulin. when this balance is disturbed it will lead to diabetes so the sugar before 30 mins is 144 mg/dl which got used up in your body and levels fallen to 94 mg/dl but to check the control of diabetes its better to check an average sugar called Hba1c which will give you three months average. regards
