When Will Bleeding Subside After Consuming Cytolog Tablets?

HI,
My wife was 10 weeks pregnant and bad luck there was no pulse rate of baby, so gynec told it was terminated.
and asked to take 2 cytolog tablets and 1 cytolog after 2Hrs of interval. before taking the tablets my wife had heavy bleeding (hence gynec told to take the tabs orally), but after taking tablets bleeding has reduced. please suggest what to do now.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It is possible that the heavy bleeding she had before taking tablets was the miscarriage and that it has almost completed on its own. The cytolog would have helped clear out the little remaining blood and there may not be much left. This is probably why the bleeding had mostly stopped. At this point, you don't need to do much except see your doctor for a follow-up ultrasound to make sure the miscarriage has completed. She will bleed and spot a little for another week or two, but it should be tolerable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saul Weinreb
