When Will Amoxicillin 500 Mg Take Full Effect?
I had a negative strep test but still had numerous sx pointing to strep. I am currently being treated w Amoxicillin 500mg 1/bid X 7 days. I ve been on it since Sunday and my throat is still hurting! Should I be concerned? When wil the abx take full effect?

It can normally take 2 to 3 days for a response to occur, if there is no response after this time period then it is possible that the bacteria is resistant to this particular antibiotic.
Also if the symptoms are worsening, this may also indicate that they medication is not working and you need an alternative.
