When to take pregnancy test?

I have taken a few negative pregnancy urine tests - but still think I may be pregnant. My stomach is growing and very bloated looking with some excess skin there. I am a thin person, and that is the only place that any weight has gained on my body. Should I go get a blood test or ultrasound?

I have gone through your query and here are your answers: 1. The ideal time to get a home pregnancy test is 3-7 days after a missed period with a history of regular menstrual cycles. The tests are to be done with a fresh early morning sample of urine. 2. Blood test to confirm/exclude pregnancy through an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres can be done as early as a week before the expected period, or, one week after ovulation. Repeated negative urine tests rule out pregnancy if properly performed. Yet, you can also get a blood test followed by a sonogram. This clarifies the situation beyond doubt. Hope this helps.
