When Should I Have To Take The Medicine During Periods?

i have uterine fibroid with a size of 5cm. i have heavy bleeding and was advised to take tranexamic acid 3 times a day for 3 days. i just wanted to know when is the time to take the tranexamic acid? on the first day of the period? or on heavy days only. i have a regular cycle but my period lasts for 10-12 days long.

Tranexamic acid has to be taken during times of heavy bleed.
Tranexamic acid is drug which prevents bleeding by stabilising clot which is formed when bleeding stops.
It is not in relation to periods.
However if your periods start only as heavy bleeding than start from first day of menses
