When Should A Scar Cream Be Applied On The Healing Wound?

Hello, I cut my inner thigh on Thanksgiving, 11/24/2016. I was opening a package using an exactor blade and accidently sliced my thigh. It seems to be healing pretty well. I was wondering how can you tell if the wound is ready for scar cream to applied to prevent scarring?

i would avise you to wait for at least 6 weeks to complete the healing process so as to heal the wound. then with an opinion of your local plastic surgeon or Dermatologist you may start applying scar creams.
