When Is Right Period Of Time For UPT After Intercourse?

Hi i am 29 years old female. i am 164 cm tall and my weight swings between 66 to 69. I have a feeling that i am pregnant but I am not sure yet. For about 6 days (from April 2 to 9th) I had cramps like period cramps. I felt slightly sick (as if I want to throw up). The problem is I am worried I might be imagining but I just cannot wait long enough to take the home test. How soon can I take the blood test to confirm. I am newly married (1 year ago) and just last month my husband and I started attempting to conceive. My last period was on March 20 and finished on 25th. my cycle is regular (28 days). We had sex on April 2nd, 4th, 6th and 9th. When can I take the pregnancy blood or home test?

Hello,
In a regular 28-day cycle, ovulation occurs on the 14th day, i.e., mid-cycle. Since you have had intercourse on alternate days during this period, your chances of conception are high. Blood test to estimate the serum beta-hCG titres can be done even before the period is due, from day 21 onward. This gives you earlier and better clarification. HPT reads well when performed 3-7 days after a missed period with a fresh early morning sample of urine. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
