Hi,
The medication is Given as an oral tablet for 5 days each cycle (usually on days 5-9 or 3-7 of the cycle). You have to check your FSH, LH and E2 levels.
When a woman is undergoing a
fertility workup, Cycle Day 3 is the day she has blood work performed to check the levels of three important levels:
follicle stimulating hormone (FSH),
luteinizing hormone (LH) and
estradiol (E2). These three hormones can all be checked with a simple performed on Cycle Day 3. Apart from this, you need to modify your lifestyle to lose some weight. Exercise or
yoga helps; also cut down on sugar, refined and processed food, alcohol and caffeine. I prescribe diet changes and exercise. So you have to exercise for 25 to 30 minutes 6 days a week. cut down majorly on all carbs, increase protein diet, veggie and fruit intake. Your energy will come back tremendously, but even start with a brisk walk every day will benefit your energy levels. Eat green raw veggies as salad, fruits which are less sweet (avoid mango, banana, grapes etc.) avoid processed food, maida, (bhaturas, pizza, burger, Chinese) white rice, aerated drinks, sugar should be avoided as much as you can, focus more on organic food and if you are not vegetarian then try having organic as hormones in Chicken can add on to the trouble and most importantly brisk walk everyday for at least 45 min to 1 hour.
PCOS cannot be cured but you can handle it and control it to a great extent with clean eating and exercise.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
