When Is A Cardiac Monitor Required?
My nephew is 32 yrs olds, his dad died from heart failure. He passed out, and was taken to the hospital. They have kept him hospitalized for the pass 3 days. After several test EKG included, it is determined his heart rate is 85 bpm. They are going to place a under the skin heart monitor, which they said he has to wear for three years. What type of monitor is this and why does he need to wear so long
