When Can I Take A Pregnancy Test?

(Date asked: May 4, 2014) Hello, I have a question about taking Nordette as ECP. My last period started last April 5. My boyfriend and I had anal sex last May 1, 1:00 am. He withdrew before he came and sprayed some of his ejaculate on the outside of my vagina. I washed it with soap and water. May 1, 3:00 pm, I took 2 pills of Nordette as ECP but at around 10:00 pm I found out I took the wrong dosage, so I took 2 again. At 3:00 am of May 2, I took the second batch, 4 pills of Nordette. I slept and after 3 hrs of the 2nd dose, I started vomiting. Experienced nausea the whole day after second dose and slightly sore breasts and some abdominal pain. Did the pills work even when I took the wrong dose the first batch? Will I get pregnant, even if the deed happened a few days before my period? When can I take a pregnancy test?

Forst of all, just spraying his ejaculate on your vagina may not be sufficient to result on conception. Above which you have taken Nordette (although not the usual regimen),.I still think pregnancy is unlikely.

The best time to take the test would be at least 2 weeks from this act or on or after the second day of a missed period.
