When Can I Consume Alcohol After Having Mono ?

I was diagnosed with mono about 2 weeks ago, and have had it for over a total of 6 weeks according to my doctor . The tonsillitis that I had has been long since cured and I haven t been too exhausted anymore. As I am a college student, I would like to know if I will be able to celebrate St. Patrick s day with at least a small amount of alcohol? I was not diagnosed with an enlarged spleen or any liver problems. The last I spoke to my doctor was about a week ago and they think that the worst of my mono has passed.

Hello,
If you are still on medicines then i would advise against alcohol. But if you have finished you dose of meds then a restricted amount of alcohol shouldnt be a problems however, beware you infection may return in not completely resolved.
