Whats The Standard Time Scale For Advil?

my daughter is 3.5 yrs old. I gave her advil for a fever of 39.4 . this was 4.5 hrs ago. the advil is supposed to last 6-8 hrs . she started trembeling in her sleep , and her temperature just got back up to 39.5. her body is cold but her head is hot. should i wait for the 6 hour mark before giving her more medication?

I am so sorry to hear about this high temperature. I will recommend that you use another fever medication like tylenol in the mean time so as to stay true to the dosage and frequency of advil. Also, dress the baby light, apply cold towels and make sure she drinks enough so as not to get dehydrated.
