Hi & Welcome.
Roxicodone is an immediate-release oral formulation of Oxycodone which is an opioid analgesic (strong narcotic pain-reliever) indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain like postoperative pain (esophageal surgery).

NSAIDs are not advisable because of the risk of side effects such as gastritis or bleeding tendency following esophageal surgery, hence Roxicodone is prescribed.

The most common side effects of Roxicodone include nausea, vomiting, constipation, headache, and itching.

Hope this answers your query.
