Hi,

I understand your concern.

Let me explain the urinary parameters as following:
- microalbumin is high. This makes me think you have urinary tract infection (UTI) that has affected your kidney function too
- urinary creatinine depends on lab reference range and gender.
Please send the full urine analysis report so I can evaluate the other parameters too

Blood kidney function test is required for further analysis.

Antibiotics are suggested together with urinary antiseptic like cranberry supplement.

Increase fluids intake, and avoid salty, oily and processed foods.

Keep regular follow up with nephrologist. Abdominal ultrasound is recommended to evaluate current morphological changes in the kidney.
Hope this helps.

Hello, I am a 63 year old male, 5 10 and weigh 250 pounds. I have had type 2 diabetes for 9 years and have congestive heart failure. My Urine Microalbumin has recently been tested at 315.9 mg/l, creatine is 0.89 mc/dl and my Microalbumin/Creatine ratio is 213.9 mg/g. How bad are these numbers? Should I be very concerned? What can I do to correct it? Thanks for your help.

My recent lab tests showed my microalbumin creatin level at 169. What does this mean and what are any available treatments. Can it be reversed. I am type 2 diabetic and take medications for this but until recently have not been in control of my blood sugars. I am doing better in that area now and am learning how to deal with this and eat right to keep my blood sugars down. Thank you. Larry
