What Would Cause Persistent Pain In The Legs Of The Elderly That Reduces While Discontinuing Exercising?

hello doctor, I am a 78 year old male good phys condition work out 2 to 3 times a wk for many years. for the past few months my legs have ached non stop as though I have just begun exercising. taking a break for 10 days gave some relief but not 100%. ( blood pressure normal with meds.I take a regimen of 20 vitimins &minerals daily. suggestions? best regards, JIM S

Hi,
I can understand your inconvenience sir. I'd suggest you to check your calcium and vitamin D3 levels and also get yourself checked for peripheral neuropathy. It may also be due to the kind of exercise that you've started doing.
A weekly dose of Vitamin D3 60 K for 6 weeks might help you. Alternatively you can show me or your nearest physician your calcium and vitamin D3 levels.
