Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
This is in relation with food
poisoning or intestinal infection with invading bacteria or virus altering the homeostatic mechanism of gut bacterial flora.
Follow basic guidelines for early recovery from the condition.
• Drink plenty of liquids preferably boiled water, coconut water, lemon juice, green tea, coffee, buttermilk, rice water to maintain hydration
• Take small amount of
soft diet with fresh curd preferably at regular intervals
• Avoid prolong fasting or overeating
• Avoid oily, spicy, non-vegetarian stuffs, and junk foods
• Avoid
smoking and alcohol or any abusive substances if used
• Remain ambulatory with normal walking, exercises, and
yoga • Can consume antacids with antispasmodics for pain relief and
stomach discomfort In our clinic, we recommend certain GI specific antibiotics to handle the infection with probiotics as per demand of the case; certain cases may need evaluation in terms of laboratory examinations also.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
