What Would Cause A Sticky Almost Waxy Type Film In My Hair And On My Skin?

What would cause a sticky almost waxy type film in my hair and on my skin? It's slightly white colored and also have developed several sores along my jaw line and on my back that simply refuse to heal! I had two on my ankle last summer that finally healed after 3-4 months & left horrid dark purple almost black scars the size of a pencil eraser. I've been dealing with this for almost a year now. Is it a fungal thing or virus, bacterial infection, candida, moscullum, parasites, autoimmune? I've tried all kinds of things & its exhausting & depressing cause I feel like something has more control over my own body than I do & I can't seem to get rid of it. I used to be a happy, pretty girl and everyone's watched me seemingly fall apart and I have no explanation for them or myself. Please help me identify what's causing this & how to effectively treat it! Any help is appreciated!

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
oily or waxy white deposit over scalp with lesions over face point towards seborrheic dermatitis. It is a type of eczema and is associated with a fungus known as pityriasis ovale. If extensive it responds well to oral isotretinoin along with topical antifungals and steroids. Sometimes these eczematous lesions may get infected, leading to tender sores. In such cases an antibiotic should also be added.
I would advise that you meet a dermatologist nearby for a appropriate treatment.
Take care
