Hello,
Since you have crossed the nine week upper limit to get an induced medical abortion, the only option left is to go for a surgical abortion. The procedure is done by a specialist after proper clinical appraisal, preliminary investigations like blood counts, urinalysis, bleeding and clotting time assay, sonogram of the pelvis preferably in the trans-vaginal route; mostly an outpatient procedure, it needs hospitalization for a few hours. The bleeding can be seen as in a normal period. Follow up is after two weeks. You need to abstain from sexual intercourse for 1-2 weeks and plan regular contraception before that. Hope this helps.
