I m a 66 y.o. female 2 yrs post broken left ankle and R knee OA.. I am up to 280 lbs. I tried PT to help my knee and ankle but ended up with a sciatic nerve in my back hurting so I stopped the PT 6-7 months ago. Now I am feeling worse having gained about 30 lbs during that time. My balance is terrible and I don t know what I can even do without hurting something else. I am on Mobic and am relatively healthy otherwise. What would be the best type of exercise to even start with and what would be the best type diet to try?

My name is Lyndon.I have for some time been suffering with frequent Diarrhea.I take Lithium (priadel 1200mg at night) and have been tested recently for thyroid, potasium syrum level etc.I have had bouts of muscle weakness in my legs that are seriously hampering me in my sport of long distance running, I lose all stamina and cant perform or run very far.I took creatine recently and the problem got alot worse so I stopped it.Running means a great deal to me and has helped me deal with my bipolar condition and quit smoking when I was 30 and give up alchohol completely.I have only been running for 4 years and last year I was 64th in Wales at Half Marathon but I have not been able to progress.I dont beleive it is overtraining as I have cut my mileage right back but dont feel I can increase it untill I deal with this problem.I take a good multi vitamin and try to eat well and I have increased my fluids which has helped but the Diorrhea will not go away.I have an apointment next month on the 3rd to see if its coeliac or crones and am considering a full body mot test privately after that.I am male, 10 stone, 5 foot 9 and 34 years old.Could you give me your feeling on what this problem could be please.

I am a 36 year old mother of two girls ages 3 and 4. In the last few months, I have totally changed my life in terms of my health, yet I am not seeing or feeling the results I would expect. I am eating very healthy (no sugar or refined carbs, tons of protein, lots of veggies), not snacking at night, running 30-40 min straight (4-5mph) 5 days a week, and doing one hour of strength training 2 days a week in a fitness class and with a trainer. I sleep 7.5-8.5 hours each night, rarely drink, and eat breakfast every morning. I drink lots of water and get lots of fresh air. I have two problems. 1) I am exhausted all the time. If I lay down in the afternoon I could literally go right to sleep (even with 8+ hours of sleep) and I was never a person who napped before now. By the time bedtime comes around I feel like I fall into bed completely spent. 2) I cannot lose any weight. I am not really overweight, but I could stand to lose 15-20 pounds. I was once 25 pounds lighter in my younger years, and I never exercised then but now I m super fit and eating right and the weight just won t budge. If anything, it feels like my clothes are tighter! I know I m not consuming too many calories, I ve tracked my food. I have been running and eating well and all for at least 4 months without any junk food or missing workouts. I am so discouraged because this time 6 months ago I didn t work out, ate whatever I wanted, and often spent weekends eating chips and candy with a cocktail or two (or three). Now I am fit and healthy but I feel awful and don t look any better! What could be going on?!?!?

I was diagnosed with breast cancer last month and decided to have a bilateral mastectomy though the cancer was in my right breast. I was born with a deformed left hand but never really diagnosed for anyjthing. After my mastectomy the plastic surgeon told me that I have Polands Syndrome because I didn't have my left pectoral muscle although I have a breast a bit smaller than my right and that also explained my webbed left handfingers. I also have symptoms of horners syndrome on the left side of my face, drooping eye lid aand absence of sweat. Do you think the syndromes are all connected?
