What Treatment To Be Taken For Pharyngitis And Pain In Throat And Ears?
I will be seeing an ENT tomorrow for Pharyngitis. My sinuses, throat, and ears are very painful. I also have TMJ which only adds to the pain. But I have noticed my hearing is muffled in both ears and my left ear has just begun a persistent tapping sound. Five times in a row, consistently. It repeats quite frequently and has occurred over the last hour. Do you think this is something serious?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pharyngitis and pain in throat and ears which seems to be due to leftover upper respiratory tract infection leading to eustachian tube dysfunction. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with course of antiviral and anti-inflammatory drugs for upper respiratory tract infection. If symptoms of chest pain and upper respiratory tract infection keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You should take nasal saline rinses. Apply mist humidifiers in room. You should do warm saline gargles 3-4 times a day with lukewarm water. Take diet rich in fruits rich in vitamin C as it will boost your immunity.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
