Hello. Thank you writing to us at healthcaremagic

The topical gel that you have been using contains Isotretinoin, which is a topical retinoid. It is an excellent product both for acne as well as acne spots.
Topical retinoids can have side effects like redness and skin peeling, which can be bothersome. I suggest you to discontinue it for the time being.
If I was the treating doctor I would have asked you to use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate 0.05%, twice daily for 3-5 days.
That should take care of the redness and peeling.
Once the redness and peeling has subsided you may restart with Isotretinoin; to begin with you may use it for just 2 hours before going to sleep and then wash it off Or you may use it every alternate night till your skin gets used to it. Thereafter you may use it once daily at night.
Use a gentle cleanser for face wash e.g cetaphil cleansing lotion, twice daily rather than using a soap.

Regards
