My husband has a terrible odor coming from his nose. It has been happening for at least seven years, in that time, he has seen ENT doctors and a GI specialist along with his physican. He had a CT scan, it doesn t appear to be a problem with sinuses. He had a GI scope, they thought the odor could be coming from stomach, however, the omeprazole that they put him on for it doesn t change anything. He has to flush his nose with saline spray 4 times a day and use flonase. The odor originally smelled like fermentation, people would think that he had been drinking when he had not. When he has been on rounds of antibiotics for other things, the odor has gone away. However, it always comes back after antibiotic use is done. Any ideas, he is leary of going to another ENT that doesnt know how to help him.
