What Treatment Is Suggested In Case Of Fracture In Neck?

Hi my 92 year old father has just had a fall in hospital and sustained fracture neck of femur he also has prostate cancer with metastatic disease in spine hip ribs and shoulder ortho not considering surgery so what treatment options do we have? Thanks

Short answer fracture in the neck of the femur can be treated by applying plaster of paris and immobilizing it conservatively.
Detailed answer for old persons the reuniting capacity becomes slow so surgery is the best option.'if you specifically want a conservative management a pop can be applied in the femur. The bone may take 3-4 months to unite. Calcium suppliments are prescribed along with nsaids
Consult with a ortho specialist he will best explain
After that he has to undergo physiotherapy for rehabilitation. For walking and to flex his knees constant physiotherapy may be needed.
