What Treatment Is Suggested For Being Pre-diabetic?

I was just told by my doctor that my lab levels show I may be pre diabetic. She told me to come see her in 3 weeks, what should I begin doing immediately, I don't want to become a diabetic. I should mention that I am 5 feet 3 inches and weight 200 lbs and eat a lot of junk food.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

A pre diabetic has to have life-style changes to increase physical activity and a diet with modest calorie restriction, less saturated fat and more dietary fibre can significantly reduce the rate at which prediabetis or impaired glucose tolerance progresses to type 2 diabetes.
Small meals more frequent. No sweets or sugars. NO high carbohydrate fruits like grapes, mango etc.
No junk foods.
Regular blood sugar level check ups.
Hope this guides you. Thank you.
