Hello deepak ;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
Always suffering from cold goes to say that it is allergic rhinitis and sinusitis for which you should take anti histaminics .As for increase in eosinophils if you have cough which is dry and disturbing then you need treatment other wise it is fine. The better option is to consult a ENT specialist for opinion and treatment.

Dear Deepak,

Reccurent running nose, sneezing is suggestive of allergic rhinitis. Since you also have a strong family history of asthama, homeopathy is the best solution for you. You have not mentioned since how long have you been taking homeopathic medicines?

Let me know the details and in the meanwhile take the following precautions-
1) Regularly dust your bed and sofa
2)Avoid pillow with feather stuffed in it.
3) Change bedsheets and pillow covers atleast 2 times a week.
4) Avoid keeping potted plants in your house
5) If you have any pets -like cats, dogs, restrict the pet sleeping with you
6) Avoid sudden change of temperatures like coming out of an air conditioned room to a non A/c room suddenly.
7)Yoga and breathing exercises would benefit you to a great extent.

Hi, welcome to health care magic forum,

Well eosinophillia count is increased in basically all types of allergic conditions.

well unfortunately you are not having relief from Homeopathic treatment but it is considered to be one of the best treatment for all types of allergic conditions,

Here are some tips for you..
Drink plenty of water. This helps with the drainage of mucus
Avoid drinking large quantities of alcohol as this causes the nasal and sinus membrane to swell
Minimize close contact with people who have colds
Wash your hands frequently with soap and water
Try not to smoke
Steam your sinuses, this help stimulate drainage of the sinuses (Lean over a bowl of hot water for a few minutes)
Try some honey and lemon dissolved in hot water or herbal and fruit tea as an alternative to normal tea
Avoid drinks that contain caffeine (coffee, tea and cola) as these are diuretics, which could cause further dehydration
Eat healthy food, such as fruits and vegetables
Don't drink iced drinks as they aggravate your problems.

Dear deepak
There is only one way to counter allergy which is manifested in your raised eosinophils and that is to boost your immunity. In cases related to allergy and asthma the best immuno booster herb is haridra [ haldi] add a pinch to hot milk and have it daily, you can add swamla as immuno booster and initially have tab. A flucil forte one BD. for five days and you will be cured.

I m military and in basic and AIT (both located in GA) I developed a odd sounding chronic cough. I went through numerous tests to include XRAY, Methacholine challenge, GERD, Allergy and others I can t recall. I also have rhinitis which I m told by the allergist is not due to any allergy (I had a full skin test). It mostly subsided when I was stationed in Ft Lewis, WA while I was taking flonase and zyrtec. I ve since been stationed at Hunter AAF, GA and now the cough is back in full force and my rhinitis is no longer controlled by flonase. An allergist back at fort gordon told me it was cough variant asthma( after successfully reducing the symptoms with prednisone and then advair) but the pulmonologist at both fort gordon and fort lewis insist that I don t have asthma. While my symptoms are present I have a shortness of breath during running and similar exercises but to a lesser extent in washington. I had no issues during my deployment to Iraq (my 2 mile run times dropped four minutes with no changes in behavior) I was 18 when in Basic and AIT and now am 22 soon to be 23. Any ideas?

I a 33, 5 2, 160 lbs and have some symptoms of either MS or Devic s Disease (optic neuritis, spinal lesions, abnormal spinal tap). I have allergic rhinitis, gerd, and diverticulosis. My question or concern today is that I have no symptoms of sinusitis in my opinion, but my ears feel like there is a lot of pressure in them. Went to urgent care and they told me that is was sinusitis and that I had air trapped in my ears. i was given ru-hist, ru-hist d, astepro and verimist and also a hydrocortisone shot. This was on Thursday and nothing has helped, what should I do next?
