What To Do If Having Swollen Tonsils, Bumps On Tonsils Causing Pain While Swallowing?

Hi, I was diagnosed with strep throat the day before yesterday. My tonsils are quite swollen and covered in white pus but as of last night a large purple bump and a smaller red bump have appeared on my left and right tonsil respectively. The purple bump protrudes from the tonsil and it seems like it's even more painful to swallow. Should I be worried or is this just an effect of the antibiotic?

Hello

Yes, it is a cause of worry and i would like you to meet your doctor for considering starting antibiotics for the infection.
Please dont delay as the infection can worsen.
For the time being you can start gargling with warm salt water 2-3 times a day.
Thanks
