What To Do If Having Spasms In Stomach, Nausea And Vomiting After Gall Bladder Surgery?
yes, I had gallbladder surgery 5 weeks ago and Im am in considerable pain... I have "spasms" in my stomach and if feels as if I have been punched in the stomach 20-30 times a day. I also have nausea and vomiting. I have explained this to my surgeon but he just shrugs his shoulders. I can not function normally anymore due the pain. it sometimes takes my breath away. What can this be? can it be SOD?
Noted you had done cholecystectomy ... So here your symptoms could be from post cholecystectomy syndrome... The cause might be bile leakage after gall bladder removal as resorvoir for bile is not present and bile can leak over gastrointestinal region to cause gastritis... For that omeprazole given.... Some time pain in post cholecystectomy syndrome might remain for months...
Secondary infection also can be the cause.... Look for redness and pus leakage from wound ...... For that antibiotic given...
Consult gastroentetologist with keeping this in mind....
Take care.
