What To Do If Baby Is Having Fever, Tiredness, Less Sleep Even After Giving Tylenol And Motrin After Immunization In The Day?

Hello. My 18 month old daughter just saw her pediatrition on Friday for her check up and immunizations. At 2 AM thus morning, she woke up with a 102.7 fever. I called the doctor and she said that she thinks the problem is a reaction to immunizations and teething. The doctor said to alternate Tylenol and Motrin. This brings the fever down to 99.7, but it spikes again. What else can I do? The baby is over tired, and sleeping very lightly.

Hello dear
Thanks for your query at hcm
I understand your concern.

Fever might be from vaccination you can continue the medication that has been prescribed . Tylenol will control fever. You can do cold sponging if v temperature is above 100 f that will help to control fever.
If fever is not subsiding or multiple spikes you may have to consult your v pediatrician for further management .
Regards.
