What To Do For Swollen Tonsil And Headache?

I have a swollen tonsil on my left side only and with white spots. I had a headache on the left side and teeth hurt on left side. No pain on tonsil nor the throat ever. I went to the doctor and she said it was negative of strep. She thought it was a sinus infection. She prescribed the "Z" pack and I took it as prescribed. The white spots are gone but the tonsil is still red and swollen but doesn't hurt. Never has. After taking the antibiotic, the headache and teeth pain left, but still I have a tonsil that is swollen and no pain.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your complain swollen tonsils or tonsillitis along with pain in teeth and headache points towards sinus infection known as Sinusitis and there might be post nasal drip that is causing infection in tonsils and inflammation is leading to redness and swelling of tonsils secondary to post nasal drip..
The white spots that were present on tonsils are pus pockets and can be commonly due to bacterial infection..
Nothing to worry, take another 7 days course of azithromycin [z-pak],take anti-inflammatory medicine like Ibuprofen,do warm saline gargles,do steam inhalations, saline irrigations and use a steroid nasal spray.
Use a humidifier in your room.
As the sinus infection will subside the pain in teeth and headache will also resolve..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
