im hemavathi, lecturer in a diploma college now im 25 years old,162cm height,68kg weight. i have hearing problem from the age of 12th.some doctors told weakness in nerve thats why hearing loss is in progressive day to day.im listening but not understanding. cau you inform is there any soloution for my problem and if i under go cochlear operation,is it possible to gain hearing 100% and how much cost for the operation and which hospital is better in bangalore,india to under go operation..

A sensorineural hearing loss could be congenital(by birth) or acquired.Ability to understand speech points to a diagnosis of nerve or cochlear damage.Initial treatment is with hearing aids.Now modern hearing aids like in the canal type ,in the ear are there where in cosmetic problems are solved to an extent.A cochlear implant should be done as early as possible when the problem has occured.It is done for cichlear type of deafness.The machine costs around 6 lakhs,kkr ent banglore is one of the centre where this surgery is performed
