What To Do For Large Painful Pimple Inside Tattoo On Lower Back?

I have a large painful pimple or cyst inside a tattoo on my lower back. I got the tattoo about three weeks ago now. I've used Hydrogen Peroxide and topical ointments like Benadryl and Neosporin and the pain continues. Is there anything else I can do? It hurts so much I cannot have anything, not even my shirt touch it.

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
You seem to have developed bacterial infection of hair follicle/boil in tattooed area. though you have used hydrogen peroxide and neosporin, i would advise that you do warm water compresses over the affected area and apply topical antibiotic like mupirocin twice in a day. You may also take a mild painkiller to alleviate the pain. If the lesion does not drain in few days, please meet a dermatologist so that appropriate oral antibiotic can be started.
Hoep this helped.
