What To Do For Having Intermittent Dizziness When Sitting And Standing?

I am dizzy sometimes. It's normally when I am sitting, but recently it's been when I am standing. I am a healthy female, normal weight, no allergies or health problems. I am very athletic as well. I try to drink enough water, and I did get my iron checked(for anemia) a couple months ago. The test came back normal. I have fainted once before in my life. I have a choir concert tomorrow and I'm nervous that I might get dizzy and faint. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
It can be due to a high blood pressure or thyroid abnormalities. You should check your blood pressure thyroid profile and total cholesterol. As you got an episode of fainting an Ecg also essential.Better to consult a physician and rule out.In case of hypothyroidism can have hypercholesteremia and get such symptoms is possible. Some kind of dysrhythmias also gives such symptoms,an ecg can rule out that.Hope this may help you
thanks
