General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HCM.
rheumatic diseases are chronic with an episodic attacks of nature, and an increase in ESR, CRP is an indication of a flare, so your doctor was right when he wanted to give you steroids usually this will not a be a for life treatment the doctor will monitor your ESR, CRP and symptoms and decide when to gradually cut down the steroids. hope that helped.
