What Should Be The Findings Of A 2d Fetal Echo Of A Healthy Pregnancy?

i am 27 weeks pregnant. i had my check with my ob the other day and she started worrying as she cannot hear my baby's heartbeat through her doppler device. she immediately asked for an ultrasound and the sono said the baby has 130 bpm heartbeat. by ob is still not convinced. now she wants me to undergo a 2d fetal echo. should i be worried now?what should i look for in the results of the echo to be sure that my baby will be just fine?

Welcome to Health care magic.

The foetal heart rate in your case through ultrasound is lower limit normal, In 2D foetal echocardiography - will help to find out the cardiac pathologies and the ejection friction volume, wall thicknesses, presence of any congenital anomalies.

What you can expect - it could be normal as its with in limit. If there is some abnormal in cardia and flow - it will detect.

Recommend to have a good followup scans, and monitor the foetal movements and approach in any less or more movements.

Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
