Hello and welcome,

I understand the issue.
Methergin is used to produce uterine contractions. However if will not cause an abortion or complete an abortion.

The effects of methergin on the baby have not been tested. So we do not know what it will do to the baby. If the sac is having hemorrhage, there are chances of abortion. So please discuss this with your doctor and then decide. In my opinion as we do not know the effects of the drug and also there is bleeding inside the sac, the amount of fetal compromise is difficult to estimate. Most of the times if the baby has been affected it inevitably aborts.

If you want to continue the pregnancy, please continue the progesterone and folic acid. Get an anomaly scan at 20 weeks to rule out any abnormalities in the baby.
Hope this satisfies your query.
