What Should Be Done For Chronic Headaches And Stiffness In The Neck?

I started having chronic headaches 10 weeks ago. They are getting progressively worse. I had an MRI three weeks ago which didn t show anything abnormal. My doctor prescribed an anti-inflammatory, which has helped, but the headaches continue to get worse and now I also have a stiff neck. Headaches have never been a problem for me except for a pituitary adenoma I had removed in 2005. What should I do next?

Hi,

If MRI is normal then headache may be most likely primary headache. Tension type headache is possibility with holo-cranial involvement and muscle tightness.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
