What Should Be Done After Child Chews A Battery?

My 2 1/2 year old daughter apparently got a hold of ,and chewed ,a AAA battery last night without my knowing it. It didn't appear that she swallowed any parts but there is nothing it. I didn.t find out what she did until this morning, she seems to be fine but my question is how should I handle this situation & is she going to be ok?

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. usually batteries are dangerous when its a button battery and if it s ingested as the chemicals released will be caustic. But you say its a AAA battery. Unless its contents are opened its not dangerous. But I suggest you seek your paediatrician's help. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
