Hi,
If there is no progress in pregnancy, then it is a missed abortion and needs to be evacuated either spontaneously or through surgical means. A definite conclusion can be had through repeat sonogram along with serial serum beta-hCG titres assessed every 2-3 days as doubling titres indicate a viable pregnancy. Further care depends on the sequence of events. In the meanwhile, please avoid any stressful activity including intercourse and take bed rest. Hope you find this information helpful. Take care.
