What Should I Do For Severe Anemia And Edema Of Pretty Much Every Extremity?

Hello. I have been diagnosed with severe anemia and adema of pretty much every extremity. I also weep syrupy material from every pore. I also have pain under my armpits(both), between the second and third ribs I think. I am having a colonoscopy today, and have done echoes, ekg, thyroid test, deep thrombosis, and my aorta is 4mm instead of 3mm. If they tell me they find nothing today, would you try to get admitted at the hospital? This stomach bloating is impossible to live with, along with not being able to wear shoes or socks.

Hi,

As you gave history of having anaemia and peripheral oedema, You should be admitted in hospital under physician and get perfect treatment to raise the hemoglobin level. Oedema may be due to anaemia, so by improving anaemia, the edema may be reduced. The other symptoms may also be due to anemia, some advice is hospital admission and get treated there only.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel, Dermatologist
