I had developed a white patch of 2cm diameter on left chest just above nipple, observed since 0ne month. Doctor has suggested Melanocyl cream and Flucort cream application in night and expose the patch to sunlight for 15 minutes. Thank you for your question!
I read it carefully and coming to you with the answer.
Melanocyl cream has these active ingredients Methoxalen and Aminobenzoic Acid. You should administer the medications as your Physician has directed you. Be very careful to not apply the medicine around eyes, mouth, ears or nose. Always wash your hands before and after application. While you are taking this medication your skin will be more sensitive to sun, also the eyes, so it is necessary to wear a sunscreen at least SPF 20, also sun glasses. There may be some side effects of the medication such as headaches, mood changes and leg spasm.
Flucort cream contains an inflammatory steroid (fluocinolone acetonide), a potent one. Be aware of the most common side effects which include:skin irritation, skin thinning, contact dermatitis dilated blood vessels at the site of application. You should continue to use Flucort cream for as long as recommended by your doctor, but not usually more tha two weeks.
