What medicines and shampoo should I use to get rid of dandruff ?
Hello Doctor , I am Suffering from Dandruff problems from many years.I have used differnt shampooes and took medicine but dit cure it.Could you please suggest me any shampoo or medicine to cure the same.

Dandruff is a scale skin from scalp.
Medicated antidandruff shampoo is helpful than over the counter shampoo.
Do regular hair oil massage.keep your hair clean and nourish with oil.Long time course of antifungal oral drug is also helpful.Take Vit-B complex,Vit-E,Vit-a riched diet.you can consult Skin specialist for medical management.

The best combination shampoo would be of 2% ketoconazole & ZPTO .This should be done twice a week only .Along with this one can use any steroid lotion topically at night.
If dandruff is very sever then one can take retinoids orally ,but then you need a dermatologists prescription and proper guidance for that.
