i have cough since one & half month associated with occasional colds.what antibiotic & syrup should i take? s. kasam age 56 ht 5.6 wt 60

Hello,

As per your query, you have cold and cough since one and half month which is due to chronic upper respiratory tract infection.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take nasal sprays and do warm saline gargles. You should take antibiotic Ciprofloxacin for one week. Take Mucinex as well.

Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get paranasal sinus x-ray done along with x-ray chest and blood tests as well and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Avoid oily and sharp food. Drink plenty of fluids.
