What Medication Is Suggested For Delusions For Grandeur?

I need to find someone who can help me get a diagnosis for my brother. I believe he suffers from delusions of grandeur. My Dad won t be around much longer to support him so in order for him to get the services he needs he will need a diagnosis. I don t know if I can get him to go more than once or twice. It is painfully obvious to family members but I don t think a stranger would see a problem right away so I m concerned. Do you have a name of a psychiatrist that specializes in this? We live south of Detroit.

My best advice would be to call one of the local hospitals and ask to speak to the referral service. Most hospitals should have a department or operator who can give callers names of specialists who are in your geographic area. Another source of help would be a local URGENT CLINIC or if you truly believe there are psychiatric issues the local Neighborhood Psychiatric Services Outreach facility. Again, most of what you're asking about can be found within the setup of any local hospital whether it be a county facility or private one. Of course, the next step which will be more challenging is to get your brother over to the consult. All the best. You may write to me at: www.bit.ly/drdariushsaghafi with more questions.
