What Makes Me Feel Pregnant?

My son is 5 1/2 months old and EBF. I have had a period every 28 days since 6 weeks PP. AF was due three days ago and no sign of her. I had spotting (not enough for a liner) for three days about 1 1/2 weeks ago. and for the last three days I have had low abdominal achiness/cramping. My cervix has been high and soft for the last 4-5 days with EWCM. Although im EBFing i have had no soreness or anything and now for the last few days my nipples are killing me to nurse. I ve POAS for a week straight and all negatives but i just feel that i m pregnant. Opinions please and thank you!

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The possible causes for your symptoms are:
-Hormonal imbalance. During breast feeding some amount of fluctuations in hormonal levels is common.
That can lead to menstrual irregularities like intermenstrual spotting, delayed periods etc.
-As you are not using any contraceptive method, pregnancy is possible.
So, better to go for blood test for pregnancy.
Blood test can give more accurate results compared with urine test for pregnancy.
If the test comes negative, consultant gynecologist once and get examined to find out any possible infection of breast.
Then you can take treatment accordingly.
Better to use some regular contraceptive method.
Take care.
