What Makes Me Breathless So Soon?

Jump Squats, stair climbers, and just about anything that forces me to get up and down quickly makes me out of breath, light headed and gives me an asthma attack. I've always had physically induced asthma and take Singulair. Any idea why these movements are so problematic for me?

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read facts of your query and reviewed it in context to your health issues submitted in your query.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query the reply of your query is-
Your current health issues seem to be due to -EIB-exercise induced Brohnchoconstriction, which leads to breathlessness soon after the exercises.
With exercise the air friction and speed- increases inflammatory reaction besides the increase in cold air causing destabilisation of the bronchial mucosal function of humidifying the cold air for proper perfussion of gases.
This friction and inflammatory response increases some chemicals which activate mast and eosinophils. And overactivity of these cells, leads to leukotriens excess, which gets controlled by anti-leucotrien antagonist drugs like Monteleucast- or leucotrein synthesis inhibitors- like zieluton.Hence these advanced medicines are needed in some individuals whose broho-mucosal response is fragile to cold and high speed air with exercise.

This is therefore more alarming condition and situation needs to be dealt by urgent Consultation with Chest and allergy Physician .
Therefore Cause of these complaints -as GI infections and sinus infections or lung infections like TB, making them more fragile to the exercise with asthmatic response needs to be ruled out.
Other causes-like Chronic infections like TB , auto-immune diseases accompanied with GI and other infections and others, need to be verified,as discussed above. For this you need to consult Chest and allergy Physician .

Thus its the immuno-chemical response to the high speed cold air distabilising the air-perfusion functional balance, which increases certain chemicals which increase the mast and eosinophil response, which leads to breathlessness in your case after the exercise.
Thus You should consult Chest and Allergy Physician.
This would resolve the complaints of your's.

Constant follow-up with local family or specialist Chest and allergy Physician for long term would give you long remissions of such complaints in time to come, which would depend on meticulous follow-up treatment of your health concerns.

Just don't worry and be patient and co-operate with your doctors, till you verify with your attending doctors.
For early recovery-please follow above do's which would resolve your complex health issues.

Hope this would help you to treat your health issues in the best way possible.
