Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

This infection can lead to pelvic inflammatory syndrome, which can increase the risks for abortion and infertility. I recommend a prolonged treatment and follow up with abdominal ultrasound and vaginal bacterial culture. Sometimes, this infection can be resistant to antibiotics.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
