hello doctor i had blighted ovum d&C done on dec03 2010 my menstrual cycle is regular on 21 feb 2011 so again i am planing for pregnancy in this month. i take folic acid & livogen tablets since after d&C so please advise me before i pregnancy planing care

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Blighted ovum usually occurs because of the chromosomal anomaly in the conceptus. Its recurrence rate is not known, and no definite measures are there to avoid its recurrence.
You should continue taking folic acid tablet as taking it in the preconceptional period reduces the risk of congenital anomalies in the fetus.
